Diane Greenpope

Diane grew up in a military family and then went on to join the Army herself. She ended up serving in the military for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. She served as a Nurse and as a Civil Affairs Officier in various places in the US and overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Diane is currently a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also serves on the Onondaga County Executive Veterans Advisory Board and Watchfire Committee.

She began volunteering as an Honor Flight volunteer in 2017. Diane volunteered for any role that needed assistance, from sending the Veterans off in the morning to welcoming them home in the evening for the Welcome Home Ceremony. Working with the Honor Flight Veterans is her way of honoring the military community.

Diane lives in East Syracuse and is the proud mother of 3 adult children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great husband.
