Honor Flight Syracuse is now a Certifying Organization (CO) for the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program.

HFS President Randy Flath received the 2013 Distinguished Friend of Veterans Award from the Onondaga County Veterans Council for his work in forming the Honor Flight Syracuse hub to serve the CNY military veterans community.

Despite the Government shutdown and closure of some DC memorials, Mission #002 succeeded in taking 64 WW-II and Korean War veterans to visit their memorials in D.C.
