So much went into resourcing, planning and executing this event, it’s a challenge to express our appreciation adequately to all participating individuals and organizations. It was all worth the extraordinary effort, to work with, meet, talk with or just watch the reactions of so many Veterans, Guardians, Volunteers, families and friends. Now Syracuse has an Honor Flight hub well-positioned to do the fundraising, planning and executing missions in 2013 and beyond. Additionally, Honor Flight Syracuse now has a seasoned cadre of Volunteers and Guardians that understand what it’s all about and can carry on this mission for the future. Finally, there are now HFS veterans who will be our “ambassadors” throughout Central NY who can help us reach more veterans in a most personal way.

Unfortunately veterans cannot choose what flight they will travel on due to medical and logistic issues associated with the flight process. We also encourage veterans from the Rochester and Buffalo area's to visit and register with their local Honor Flight hubs before registering with Syracuse Honor Flight.
