Saturday, September 29, 80 veterans from World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War will join us for Mission 12. The itinerary for the day is below and you can follow our day on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HonorFlightSyracuse. We will be posting updates all day from the memorials we visit. We will also be posting LIVE from our Welcome Home Ceremony that evening.

Please arrive in time for the 6:40 pm arrival. Parking will be available in the Airport Garage at standard rates. Dress for the weather – the Veterans will parade from the terminal to a huge nearby tent for the Welcome Home Ceremony. The plane will land to a water-cannon salute outside the South Terminal. After parking in the garage, proceed to the Tent and you will be advised when the Veteran Parade will begin. Due to ongoing construction, all guests and attendees are asked to proceed directly to the tent, and not enter the terminal.

4:45 – 5:30 a.m.                       Veterans and Guardians Arrive @ Syracuse Airport

5:30 – 6:30 a.m.                       Airline Check in/Board Aircraft

6:40 a.m.                                  Departure AA Flight 9470 (Breakfast on the aircraft)

8:00 a.m.                                  Arrival Washington DC (Reagan National Airport)

8:15 – 9:00 a.m.                       Depart aircraft and board buses

9:00 – 9:30 a.m.                       Depart airport and travel to WWII Memorial

9:30 – 10:30 a.m.                     Visit WWII Memorial

10:30 – 12:15 p.m.                   Board Buses, Lunch, Visit Vietnam and Korea Memorials

12:15 p.m.                                Travel to Arlington National Cemetery

12:30 p.m.                                Arrive Arlington Cemetery

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.                       View “Changing of the Guard”        

2:00 – 2:15 p.m.                       Travel to U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial

2:15 – 3:15 p.m.                       Visit USMC Monument

3:15 – 3:45 p.m.                       Drive by USAF Memorial (visit if time permits)

3:45 – 4:15 p.m.                        Return to Reagan National Airport and move to departure gate

4: 15 – 5:00 p.m.                       Board aircraft
