Honor Flight Syracuse would like to recognize Kathleen Hanley “For Volunteer Service Above Self In Support of our Veterans and the Honor Flight Syracuse Board.” That’s what the Volunteer Appreciation Award plaque reads, but those words only go so far to describe her service.

Kathleen Hanley joined the Honor Flight Syracuse team prior to Mission 2 on October 5, 2013. She took on the role of merchandise coordinator, pricing and purchasing Honor Flight Syracuse branded apparel and souvenirs for families and friends to buy on mission weekends. She started with hats and t-shirts but the inventory soon grew to more than 25 different items. Kathleen also was responsible for organizing the large group of volunteers that assisted with her efforts – and over the past three years her team added the Friday afternoon Guardian Briefing as an additional  opportunity to sell Honor Flight Syracuse merchandise.
