Honor Flight Invites CNY to Welcome Home Mission 14
Saturday, September 28

Saturday, September 28, Honor Flight Mission 14 takes off for a day of honor and thanks in Washington, DC. We invite the community to join us at a Welcome Home Celebration that evening at 6:40 p.m.

“We simply cannot do enough for our men and women in uniform. From the airport’s perspective, continuing our operational and logistical support of Honor Flight Syracuse is our way of showing our veterans the sincere gratitude we have for their service” says Syracuse Regional Airport Authority Executive Director Jason Terreri.

Welcome Home Details: Please arrive in time for the 6:40 pm arrival – we recommend no later than 6:15. Parking will be available in the Airport Garage at standard rates. The plane will land to a water-cannon salute outside the South Terminal. After the plane lands, please BE PATIENT – it will take about 45 minutes for the veterans to deplane and line up for the Parade. You can wait inside the terminal, the Veterans will parade from South Baggage Claim to the Grand Hall and the Welcome Home ceremony will be held in front of the Main Staircase.

Unfortunately veterans cannot choose what flight they will travel on due to medical and logistic issues associated with the flight process. We also encourage veterans from the Rochester and Buffalo area's to visit and register with their local Honor Flight hubs before registering with Syracuse Honor Flight.
