Let’s put the volunteer spotlight on Natalie Dodson, and show how much we appreciate her by coming out tomorrow, Saturday July 15, for the Whitney Foundation Poker Run in Constantia. It’s a day of fun, chicken BBQ, live music, fantastic silent auctions and fellowship for those who love motorcycles, classic cars and our veterans!

For the 8-th year, Natalie is hosting this key annual fundraiser for Honor Flight Syracuse, to honor the memory and service of her stepdad, Korean War veteran Richard Whitney.  Richard passed away before he could make the Honor Flight himself, but the foundation that Natalie established in his name makes it possible for so many other veterans to make the memorable trip to Washington twice each year. 

Natalie has been a superlative volunteer. Her vision, drive and energy has made this annual Poker Run a truly special event each summer.  She’s volunteered with Honor Flight Syracuse since Mission 2 and was recognized on Memorial Day weekend this year with a statewide award for patriotism!  We appreciate you, Natalie, and we honor the service of your stepdad.
