Debbie and Doc Simpson were among 3 married couples on Mission 23. MSG Debbie Simpson served 30 years: in Desert Storm/Desert Shield and then the Army reserves. SFC Doc Simpson was active duty for 32 years, including service as a combat medic in Vietnam. Here’s what they wrote after reflecting on the experience:

”Dear Everyone at Honor Flight Syracuse,

We were honored to be a part of the Honor Flight Syracuse Mission #23. Because of all of you, our hearts are full and the entire day and experiences will be in our memories forever. The generosity of this organization is beyond amazing and has touched our hearts every minute of the day. We are very grateful veterans. God bless Honor Flight Syracuse.”
